The activity of Cover Sistemi focuses on R&D activity in advanced fields of Microwave and Radio-frequency systems and sub-systems both on silicon and on PCB:

  • Design, fabrication and test of Ultra-wideband transceiver for radar application up to 10GHz
  • Design, fabrication and test of Ultra-wideband transceiver for low-power data transmission up to 10GHz
  • Design of RF/MW Silicon IPs in the technologies:
    – CMOS, 0.35um, 0.18um, 90nm, 65nm, 45/40nm
    – SiGe BiCMOS

Cover Sistemi has a strong experience in design of:

  • Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) for wideband and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) applications
  • Up and Down-conversion mixers for UWB applications
  • Pulse generators for high-resolution radars
  • Distributed planar filters for high-power (no tuning required) applications
  • Radio-frequency and Microwave amplifier 
  • High-speed RF Switches
  • Low-jitter PLL/VCO frequency synthesizer
  • Directive planar antennas for UWB

    – IF Bandwidth up to 1GHz
    – Full chain 3dB NF
    – OIP3 of about 27dBm
